Hardware Operations Specialist

Typical Responsibilities:

Fabricate and modify parts using CNC machines and manual tools

Create, update, and maintain manufacturing processes

Create, update, and maintain work instructions
-
Update the bill of material and procure piece parts
-
Assemble hardware assemblies for test equipment
-
Assemble hardware assemblies for deliverable products
-
Fabricate cable assemblies
-
Participate in operations planning
-
Update and maintain operations work cells
-
Perform maintenance on equipment
-
Work with the engineering team to make process improvements
-
Document work, and create reports as needed
-
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
-
2-year Technical Degree
-
Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work in a team environment
-
Willing and able to learn; we expect to have to train the ideal candidate

United States Citizenship, or the legal ability to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree

Several examples of projects demonstrating excellent workmanship

Experience with machining parts
Work Location / Hours:

Mostly on-site in Amherst, NY (near UB North campus)

Hours are flexible
Salary Range:

$45,000 - $65,000
